JAC Motors Recognised for Carbon Reduction Leadership.
The China Federation of Industrial Economics held the 3rd China Industrial Carbon Peak Forum in Suzhou from November 29th to 30th. Xiang Xingchu, Chairman and General Manager of JAC Group, delivered a speech titled "Green Transformation to Enhance International Competitiveness and Accelerate High-Quality Development."At the event, the China Federation of Industrial Economics released the 2024 list of "China's Top Runner for Industrial Carbon Peaking." JAC Motors was successfully selected for its excellent practices and remarkable contributions in green and low-carbon transformation and new energy development.
Driving Green Innovation and Low-Carbon Development
In recent years, JAC Motors has prioritised the development of new energy vehicles as a strategic response to the new wave of scientific and technological revolution and industrial change. The company has steadfastly pursued a path of "independent development + open cooperation" while moving decisively toward the development of intelligent networked new energy vehicles.
Regarding R&D and innovation investment, Xiang Xingchu reported that from January to October 2024, JAC Motors' R&D investment reached 7.6% of revenue—an increase of more than 60% year-on-year. On the quality enhancement front, JAC Motors has strengthened its quality team construction, comprehensively enhanced production line quality capabilities, and IPD (integrated product development process). The company has also introduced world-class supply chain practices and conducted OTS accreditation and PPAP approval according to high standards.
Xiang Xingchu elaborated on JAC Motors' comprehensive implementation of its dual-carbon strategy, emphasising the company's commitment to green and low-carbon development. He highlighted efforts to promote energy efficiency and carbon reduction across the full lifecycle of automotive products and throughout the entire industrial chain. The company's "1+2+6+N" dual-carbon framework is designed to guide its journey toward achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, addressing both organisational and product-level goals. JAC Motors aspires to solidify its position among the leading domestic automakers in dual-carbon innovation and sustainability.
JAC Motors Xingang Intelligent & New Energy Industrial Park
In 2024, building upon its foundation of three national and four provincial green factories, JAC Motors continued to promote manufacturing technology innovation by building a benchmark low-carbon industrial park—the Xingang Intelligent & New Energy Industrial Park—which has been successfully included in the first batch of "Zero Carbon Industrial Parks" in Anhui Province. The high-end light truck base of JAC Motors, located in the southern part of Xingang Intelligent New Energy Industrial Park, has become the first "carbon neutral factory" in Anhui Province's automotive industry.

The company has launched the development of Intelligent Exclusive Platform 2.0 and is conducting pre-research on new technologies such as full wire-control chassis and 4C super charging. To address emerging urban logistics trends, the company will expand its new energy VAN vehicle offerings and develop 7-10 square metre closed logistics vehicle products.
JAC Motors has completed the layout of pure electric and hybrid platforms for the Ute market. The company has initiated pre-research on new energy intelligent hardcore off-road projects and built a chassis platform with high safety, high intelligence, and large bandwidth capabilities for the new energy outdoor leisure off-road market. JAC Motors' heavy commercial vehicles division has completed the layout of pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen 1.0 platform products.
